Life in A Year

closed doors..

Looking at it now…

How many things has changed in a year. Feelings, beliefs, trust, personality. It’s amazing how human heart is made from the only substance in this universe that can become stronger, after it’s been broken.

Sure there’s no way we could turn back the time, but there will always be an invaluable lesson for us to learn. Always. Wise people know exactly how to deal when things turned out to be not like what they’ve expected.

“With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.” —Wayne Dyer

Let go. Free yourself from any situation which caused you more pain than happiness and cutting wrong people off of your life.. It doesn’t mean that you are weak or you hate them, or because you’re far better than them.

It simply means because you respect yourself.

Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy. You deserve something better. Remind yourself always that you are full of worth.

I have learnt so much this year, alhamdulillah.. And perhaps, that makes me wiser and stronger. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.

As the famous author Charles Dickens said,

“I have been bent and broken, but – I hope – into a better shape.”
